In other words, the West is suffering a brain drain. As if we could afford to lose any more brains!

These brains aren't lost to the West. They're moving from the West to the Israeli West-East.

Bless them. May God watch over them. Our Western societies will grow culturally poorer without them and even poorer with the influx of illegals from certain countries. It’s all part of a global plan to annihilate the West. It’s all being done with our taxes too.

David, in the West we witness the daily crumbling of our Western values. This is a fine, courageous development of young families with children "rising" to live and cherish one another in the great land of Israel.

I read an article that argues that Israelis are leaving in large numbers especially the intellectuals and other secular Jews. The article argued that Israel might be drained out of its social capital.

I would mentally poo poo the idea that "we" would be drawn back to Israel, but I feel the draw. It's unmistakable. Were I in the first 70 years of my life, I would certainly be making aliyah. At this point, I'd just be a burden.

I hate to be negative, but I think the uptick in aliya primarily shows how much of an impact the war has had in terms of making things worse in the Jewish diaspora.
